Beautiful looking coin and tough in 64CAC. Great pickup.
Thank you Buddy. I thought this was interesting, lifted from Coinfacts: David Akers (1975/88): This is undoubtedly one of the more underrated issues of this series. Only the 1911-D, 1914 and 1914-D are more rare, and true gems of the 1912, although they do exist, can only be located with great difficulty.
I had a really nice 1912 MS64 but it did not pass CAC standards. Yours is much nicer. This one has moved on to a new owner as I have switched gears and collect $10 Indians now. Eyes are not what they used to be. I know just how hard those are to find so great pickup.

Nice surfaces on that coin. Interesting how rare these coins are in grades from MS65 up. Out of a mintage of 616,000, PCGS shows a total of 100 coins graded from MS65 up, and maxing out at 66+.

Lately I've been loving both the Liberty and Indian gold $2.5. They are just such little beautiful pieces of artwork. I'll never collect even a small fraction of them, but having fun in the meantime dabbling.

I love it and I love the color, which was something I fully expected when I noticed who started the thread!

It’s really nice! A great pickup that will fit in very nicely with your collection for sure!
Gold is rather scarce with color too, let alone attractive color. I think it would be hard to find a more attractive piece for the grade.

Great pickup, and a wonderful addition to your phenomenal collection!
And a CAC to boot! CAC on gold is tough to get!
Enjoy!

@Eldorado9... Really very nice gold coin. You had me at gold, but that one also has great detail. Cheers, RickO
