quarters 1999-2022 ??

in going through some rolls and noticing all the different reverse quarter designs, i find myself warming up to the diversity and themes. surely i'm not the only one?

it seems like there must be at least several dozen different reverses.

I stopped when the state quarters series ended. My set is from 1932 till then. I didn't actually find the state quarters all that interesting but I filled out the set probably just from habit....I have absolutely no interest in collecting quarters since then...Zero. I think the newer issues to be overwhelmingly boring. I don't even look at pocket change quarters anymore..... Yuk!

I have Dansco's full from 1932 - 2021. Since there is no Dansco for the current quarters, I have not collected them. Once an album is available, I will do these as well.

Somebody gave me an empty state quarter album P&D of all years 1999-2009, so I'm working on filling it from pocket change, I like a few of the designs but mostly I just have fun filling holes from change :)

I put the P-mints obverse up and the D's reverse up, that way I have one of each different design on display.

I'd love to see a truly complete collection that incorporates all the business strike P's, D's, S's, W's, the satin finish P's and D's, the clad proofs and silver proofs, the enhanced S's from 2017, the reverse proofs from 2018, all the hockey pucks in bullion and satin finish, and also including the 2016 Gold Standing Liberty Quarter.

I have the complete run in 5 Dansco albums - 8143, 8144, 8145, 8146 & 8147. The reason being is twofold, a) I had all these proof and mint sets laying about taking up space and, b) I’m a big - huge even - fan of our National Parks. I began with the NP albums and worked my way backwards. @LanceNewmanOCC - here are pics of the last album (8147) pages.

i didn't know the S proof silver quarters were still being made.

that is a really nice way to appreciate the direction the quarters have taken in all their shapes and forms!

thanks for the dansco numbers as well, i'm sure there are people that will look them up after reading them here.

fwiw, i'm pretty sure i've seen all the types in circulation since you have them laid out like that although i doubt the coin quality is there like it is with your set(s).

    thanks for sharing!

I don't have any quarter collection, ala Statehood Quarters. However, I do put aside the ultra high grades I find while CRHunting. I have many possible ms67,68's.

I collect all of the silvers. Most have excellent Deep Cameo's and they look a bit more detailed to me. The new American Women quarters are also excellent in proof silver and Mint enrollments are still available but limited.

With all the different designs and they keep coming and coming I am Newer quartered out. I rolled all mine and just took them to the bank. My LCS doesn't want them and eBay makes you no profit.

I have three sets of State Quarters and continued on to the territorial quarters, all in folders, but stopped after those.

I quit after the state quarters.

I am continuing to collect quarters however I'm now just collecting one mintmark (D) since those are available in circulation locally. I really like the new obverse design of the 2022s. My collection goes back to 1892, but I'm missing the 1916 :'(B)

During the lockdown, had converted my now almost seventeen year old into a numismatist by completing the State Quarters and almost all of the ATB from circulation plus CRH (had to buy a couple of the United States Territories quarters from eBay for finishing that set).
Don't have a Dansco for it and is currently in the H E Harris/Whitman cardboard ones.
The 2019/2020 W quarters are in slabs whereas the Clad and Silver ones are still in the mint sets and have not been broken out.
Definitely not interested in the new set of quarters issued in 2022.

    Awesome.
Have only very few Barber quarters which are mostly slicks in meh!!!! condition.
Completed the entire SLQ series in average condition housed in a Dansco 7132 (the 1916 is a PO 01 but with CAC green bean :D ) and the Washington quarters from 1932-1998 including proofs in a Dansco 8140.

Hopefully you land your 1916 soon.
    Cheers.

if you are talking about the thumb pushers/breakers, i'm glad. it is good for the YNs to get a feel for how rough older collectors had it. i've had my fair share of experience with them and my finger tips, thumb especial, will NEVER forgive me for it!

As Hydrant said, I also quit collecting the quarters after the 50 state issue. I've got both BU and Proof in a Dansco. One has a layer missing. I wish they had changed the quarter completely rather than continue to mix and match reverses and traumatize the obverse.

No, I have a Dansco. It ended when silver business strikes ended.

I am at a dansco guy myself though I have from 1965 to 1998 PDSS in Capital plastic holders. The state quarter and parks are all Dansco and some of the silver coins are toning nicely

@Eighteen63 .... That is a very nice quarter collection. Thanks for showing us and the excellent pictures. I do not do series anymore.... but that is one I think would be a good one for many collectors. Designs, availability.... Yep, a great one for YN's as well. Cheers, RickO
