New Photography Format - Thoughts?

FlyingAlFlyingAl Posts: 3,500 ✭✭✭✭✭

I was doing some editing, and wanted some thoughts on this format I came up with:

The idea was to minimize empty space while also not cluttering it up. Any comments are appreciated!

It looks nice to me. Maybe the Lincoln portrait could be smaller.

Looks cool! I’d like it slightly better if the coin photos were a bit closer together.

I prefer to have the obverse and reverse nearly touching each other, to minimize the width.
That way the total image size is 2 x 1, and the coin image size is larger on most monitors in full screen.
There is still room in the center top and bottom for stuff.
With your layout the slab label will be larger and easier to read.
I usually crop out the bar code, but maybe it has some usefulness?

swap placement of the two top and bottom images. add little more space between label and coin images. coin images can be brought closer together if you increase the over heigth of the rectangle.

I’m in love with the photo quality of the coin, I love the detail of the Lincoln Bust, I love the black background, and I love having your actual label shown. Presumably for your coins with CAC stickers, those would show on the label sized to not block any data?

I have no problem with the spacing between the obverse and reverse. If you put them closer, and that caused you to lose the Lincoln Bust, I’d say that move would be a negative.

    Great job!!!!

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!

Thank you! For CAC stickers, it would look something like this or the CAC sticker would appear on the label shot if it was over the label. My only CAC stickered coin is the coin the Lincoln portrait was pulled from, but this would give an idea.

Thanks all for the comments, I will take each into careful consideration and make a few small edits. I really appreciate it!

I’d get rid of lincolns bust and slide the coin images over the bottom corners of the label.

@FlyingAl ... I like it the way it is... simple, with an artistic flair.... yet gives all the pertinent information. Cheers, RickO
