Coin stuck in Air tite container
Has anyone had issues with coins becoming stuff in Air tite containers? I have a SLH that is stuck in an Air tite container and am looking for advice on how to get the coin out of the container without damaging it. Seated halves vary in diameter with some dates being too large to fit in them. This coin fit in snuggly, but I cannot get it out now and want to give it an acetone dip.

Coin is stuck in the bottom half of the capsule. Place the coin exposed side down on a soft surface. With finger grab one edge of capsule and pull up while holding down the opposite edge. You are trying to "bend" the capsule. The slightest microscopic bending will free the coin.
Yup, flex that capsule and your coin shall pop out. Good luck. Peace Roy

I have had success with a blow torch.

It worked with some strong bending action. Thanks.
Do you have a steady hand? Gently, "VERY" gently. You get the point.

I had that issue once with a coin I purchased at a show. Put it in boiling water.. coin came right out. Cheers, RickO
With my luck, I'd have a huge gouge on the coin...

Upside down on a soft towel then warm it up with a hairdryer to expand.
That was going to be my suggestion too, but I see the OP already popped it out another way.
works for opening a mint capsule but not for removing a coin that is stuck in the bottom half of an after market capsule once the capsule is open. Coins don't get stuck in original mint capsules if it is the correct capsule for the coin.
I wonder if melting the plastic with acetone on a side would help in these situations? I don’t use these products but I’m curious if it would work.
acetone will melt styrofoam (learned the hard way), not sure about plastic.
Looks like some melt spectacularly and some not at all. https://www.millerplastics.com/how-acetone-affects-certain-plastics/
