I love sharing this photo, thanks for the chance to post it again. This is a 1947/5 Colombian 20 Centavo, photographed with a cheap digital microscope.

Love the close ups. Anyone doing so with an inexpensive point and shoot camera? Care to share what you use?

All of my pics are taken with an ancient dinosaur, a Canon PowerShot S2 IS. I rigged up a ring light and mounted it on the front of the camera. I’ve been looking at getting a Bolt VM-160 ring light but not sure if I want to. I may just get a much better camera. My Canon is only 5 megapixels.
These closeups are with iPhone 12 Pro with a macro lens. I used manual focus in Camera+2 app and a Small Scissor Jack as a camera stand to precisely adjust the focus like you do with a stage microscope
Something else to work on at some time in the future, hope I don't run out of time! Anyway here is a nice shot of my 1909 Lincoln S over Horizontal S taken by Mark Goodman.
Nothing rare or overly special here, just some pics I took while fiddling with my microscope

1848-O V-2 half dime - 4 repunched to NW.
Shot with my Canon 100mm 1st gen macro lens that I bought used on ebay from Japan and an old Canon T2i.
But mostly it takes the right angle of light to show this feature, and the right coin!
The best thing I can say about my iPhone 13 is that it takes pictures. Read about a macro clip-on lens in another thread, been playing around with it. Getting closer.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

I don't think this is a macro. You don't need the arrows to see it but it's all there.

From an older P&S camera with a macro setting, not enough pixels for clarity when I blow it up. Vam 6 78-S.
