The Saints, what can you say about them, they look like crap without Drew Brees running the show. They should just find a way to sign him through 2035.

The Philadelphia Eagles haven't produced a hit since that Super Bowl a few years back, I don't expect things to change any time soon.
NFL experts are picking the Eagles as division winners. Iβm not so sure yet. I always pick the best QB in the division and Dak is the only QB that can come from behind and win games.
...
It's been almost 20 years since the NFC East had a repeat division winner. I've heard this fact tossed around almost like all-true dogma in these parts over the years. But I would definitely pick the Cowboys to break this trend.

The Chicago Bears should be interesting this season, Justin Fields will be QB1 and we will finally get to see what he can do as the full time starter.

From what I have heard and read, Sean Payton ran this team into the dump (salary cap-wise) and just left them high and dry.
He's delusional if he thinks he's worth 50M a year and he might have already reached his highest trajectory mark for his career. This QB money that gets tossed around is getting to be pretty silly and while I don't think any QB is worth 50M/yr the guy about to be handed that much money should have at least won a SB or two beforehand.
@doubledragon said:
And then there's this man, the GOAT, going for his 8th ring, I wouldn't bet against him.
Tom has won every other SB going back the previous 7 seasons so not winning this last one means he should be in line for the next one,right? π
...
Afaik, it's pretty accepted in the NFL right now that each new contract for a top QB will "set the market" in terms of guaranteed, overall, or annual, and that there is no room for variance based on actual ranking or success. So this (huge pay increases for QBs) will continue happening for the foreseeable future without any sense of rationale.

Josh Allen agreed to less than Patrick Mahomes and well he should have.
Neither Murray or Jackson have come close to what Mahomes accomplished.
Murray had Arizona by the short hairs and the franchise will pay for it. Baltimore is trying to avoid that by seeing if Murray can capture 2018 all over again
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.

Like I said, each new contract usually sets a high in one of the three areas. Allen's topped Mahomes for most guaranteed ever. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Some new QB deals ( "elite") will not do this, but it is a trend.

I donβt know the contract details. All I know about it is Mahomes was for $500M and Allens $450M. He hasnβt accomplished what Mahomes has and shouldnβt have made more.
