I decided to pull the trigger on this at Sunday's Melville Coin Show on LI. Something about the rose-green toning was very inviting (though hard to photograph) and I feel I got a good deal on it. It's a common date & grade, 1932 PCGS MS64. As always, opinions welcome.

Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

Nice coin but not sure about the 64 due to the dings on the nose, cheek, chin and chatter in the fields.

Boy these $10 Indians are just stunning—congrats on the pickup.

The large close-ups tend to accentuate and make the coin look a bit baggy, but it has lots of flash and that is far more important to PCGS than the surfaces. Congrats on the newp!

Luster probably carries this one, looks real flashy.

A very nice example indeed! These coins are show-stoppers in my book.

Super popular coin, has nice luster. Curious what would have caused the yellow toning.

Beautiful gold Eagle.... Nice luster, makes up for the surface chatter. Cheers, RickO

    Thanks!

I'm not sure about what causes the toning, but from what CoinFacts says about this issue, that toning is typical and quite common.

The coin is 90% gold and 10% copper. The copper does tone over time.

I think it’s a C coin - with all the marks and unattractive toning / forehead. What the heck is that In forehead area? Pass (bigtime). Huge mark under chin. Was this purchase sight unseen?

Go with coins that are PQ - brilliant, wellstruck, with super luster. No toning junk.
