[grade revealed in comment to thread]
Always nice to get a coin in Saturday's mail. The one will be my new type example for the series. Feel free to offer any thoughts about the coin, and take a swing at guessing the grade. I'll reveal it in ~24 hours. No TrueView for this one, but I provided two sets of photos.

Nice, I like it! I would say 55?
Great details but some marks. Hard to tell the severity with the pics.

Nice coin. I'd say 55-50, probably 53. The iPhone photos are certainly more appealing than the seller's!

I'm at a strong AU53.
Coin Photographer.
Bumped to 58 for the luster and original skin, very nice. So many in this grade range have that cleanly look to them.
58+

Too much wear for it to go MS but I think a very strong AU55, 58 wouldn't surprise me either. Nice

Nice thick skin on that one. Looks like a 58 to me.
My guess would be AU55.... Nice old Trade Dollar. I do like these. Cheers, RickO
I'll go 55. That looks like a nice coin....too many have been cleaned to death.
AU55. A nice example.
I'll guess 58. perfect example for type
Nice example although I am having a hard time interpreting the line under the wing going though the A in GRAINS. Might squeak though to 58 or be a very nice 55
11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
Checked it out with a loupe and it's a slab scratch, not on the coin. You can see it isn't present on the seller's photos, either.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I'll guess 55.

It looks nice, it just needs a chop mark.

GRADE REVEALED BELOW
Cheers to all who gave it a shot. Below is the distribution of guesses. For anyone that stated multiple grades, I took the lower. AU55 was the clear winner as far as guesses go.
The full slab shots from my iPhone show the coin is in an AU58 holder (and sticker by CAC).
@Walkerguy21D nailed it, IMO. There's perhaps just enough wear to warrant a 55, but the coin is very original with luster evident under the thick skin, which gave her a well-deserved bump to 58. It's been challenging to find an example like this as many do have the "cleany" look (hairlines, overly white, etc.).
The auction photos were a bit lifeless as some pointed out, so I was prepared to be disappointed, but the first impression was great and the more time I spend with this coin, the more I really really like it. It's almost definitely getting locked in my "no way I'd sell this one" vault for quite awhile!

Nice to see that, and CAC’d to boot.
Had her reholdered for a TrueView. Back to CAC soon.

I'd buy that coin all day long based on your photos....I 'm not sure the true vue is doing you any favors.
Commems and Early Type
I agree, the TrueView doesn’t fully capture the in-hand look and appears a bit washed out. Oh well.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
That's a nice example and my favorite series.
