    Is the "beard" on the "Bearded Goddess" variety a die crack or a chip?
    I don't know much about bust halves but those look really nice!

    It is a crack. One of the toughest coins in the series. The die marriage is tough in general, but finding a nice full die crack is a chore as well. This one was in a long time bust specialist collection prior to being graded and sold to me. Really just an all around original coin with some subtle color popping through
