Pocket change find.

Today I stopped at a store and received 3 cents in change. Noticed they looked colorful. When I got home I checked and here they are. One a 1948 D appears to be a high grade coin other than in circulation as does the 2017 D. Best older wheat cent I have ever ran across in circulation. Not worth much but interesting nonetheless.

The best pocket change finds happen during troubled economic times. The 2008(?) real estate bubble burst was a great time for getting interesting change and the best time ever for roll searching.......proofs and silver dimes quarters, and halves.....and older date cents and nickels. I received two Standing Liberty quarters in high AU, a very nice 1900 cent in AU, and one silver Kennedy Proof at that time in change. And a couple of VERY nice Buffalo nickles. I always checked out the bank teller
coin tray at that time looking for silver halves......I snagged a lot of them......Two were proofs. Then the tellers began holding silver Kennedys just for me.........and rolls of Eisenhower dollars......I love those girls!!! After the covid mess I started using the drive thru.....so I don't know what is going on inside the bank now change wise.......but I have my suspicions!

@jesbroken .... Nice 1948D cent.... The year Babe Ruth died. I remember the headlines and picture on the Daily News at the time. Cheers, RickO

    Nice surprises @jesbroken 🤗
It’s like a little gift just by going to the Market on Thursday ☺️

I must stop letting them keep the change and start looking.

    Thank you for sharing!
