Oh the heat I'll get for this 1970s question

Ok fellas .go easy on the girl .she's been studying hard.please don't answer me with " read more about the process" ! Sometimes real life can get you stumbling .Now is the thickness in liberty and the splits in the date along with the rpm appearance of the S qualify for more exploration of a ddo here? Thank you !

Machine doubling?
the date is nothing.
the R kinda looks neat. 99% pmd but better pics wouldn't hurt.
just so there is no question later. this is the large date.
Quit wasting your time and eyesight looking for minor double dies. If you have to wonder about it ... it isn't important.
Tuck it away and go back in 10 years and revisit it.

Rough as it may seem, this is the correct answer. Just minimal demand for this kind of stuff.

Ok thanks the hunt continues
To stay on topic, it all just looks like die deterioration.
It sometimes best to keep these sort of things as study specimens to compare to others. In fact I found if you make your own photographic digital library of known examples you can quickly refer to, it can help. While there are many sites with this already done - None seem to meet all my questions. But the best site so far is the Lincoln Cent Resource if you have not already discovered it.

Yes coppercoins is what you're referring?
Reading the thread title, I was thinking "oh oh, someone has posted something that would be considered offensive these days compared to 50 years ago" and felt compelled to open the thread. Boy was I disappointed!

When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought it would be about this!.......

Oh Well, wrong again!..... The 70's....YUK!
Man, this dude has a large head!
I remember wearing something similar to these saddle shoes in the 70s. I think mine had a white center with surrounding brown. Big heals - steppin out, man! So cool then of course!

Comments from Lincoln cents to shoes. Just makes no CENTS to me.
