Here are the 5 cards, and I need to pick one. Sorry for the crappy phone pics, but I'm assuming 9's on the modern stuff (hopeful for a 10), and an 8 on the Moon. I'm not selling anytime soon if that makes difference on your selection. Curious on everyone's thoughts.

If the goal is best grade potential, I vote for the Verlander; rookie card, as he is already a HOF.
Not sure the Freeman or Julio Rodriguez have the centering to gem, Moon has bottom edge issues and I think you might be better off just buying the Vlad in 10 rather than subbing for one.
Good luck whatever you decide!
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

J-rod

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Thank you Wheaties and Baseballfan for the comments. I have 2 Verlander's in this sub already, but there is no reason I couldn't put a 3rd in there. Also, I've had no luck finding your Montiel's in the Raleigh area shows/shops, but I do keep a look out.
Baseballfan, I just pulled that /150 from a blaster, and it is strong possibility as well.
I need a bigger card budget!
I'm voting Verlander if you measure the top/bottom vertical centering and find it within spec for possible 10 (compare to other graded examples; it seems to look pretty similar to another 10 listed right now). If too off for a 10, then I guess I'd go with Vlad, since seems like too much edge chipping on the Moon.
J-rod has centering off in one direction so won't get a qualifier but you'd be lucky to get a 9 overall. Freeman is OC in two directions so that one will more likely come back 9 (OC).
My rough estimates show Freeman as 40/60 TB and 55/45 LR, so definitely not getting an OC qualifier.
Miwlvrn and nam812 appreciate the comments. Wasn't sure the Freeman was OC enough for a qualifier, but it is not going to gem, so I'm going to wait on that one. Starting to lean towards the Verlander or the Vlad Jr.
You are likely right on that one; I did not spend too much time trying to calculate the percentages. However, visually, the centering sticks out as off in both directions on quick glance, and it is significantly more common to get a qualifier when 2 directions are off instead of 1.
J-Rod. I wouldn't submit the Moon. I would expect harsh grades on the black boarded 1985s.
Gretzky,Ripken, and Sandberg collection. Still trying to complete 1975 Topps baseball set from when I was a kid.
