1922 Peace Dollar Obverse Die Crack....Nearing End of Useful Life!

I noticed this on a 1922 Peace Dollar and thought it was interesting. Since I was messing around taking some coin photos also I thought I would snap a couple of the dollar. More used to seeing breaks like that on large cents!

Very cool photos and die cracks.

once you start looking at more coins with stars around the legend, you will start seeing A LOT more cracks, breaks, chips, cuds and other die problems.
the irony is that with peace dollars, they don't have stars in the legend BUT STILL have an ENORMOUS amount of the die problems mentioned above.
the particular crack pattern on the dollar shown above is not rare per se but it isn't common either in those areas. especially the left side.
