Certification number seems wrong, font seems wrong, coin seems wrong. Am I wrong?

    Cert number is for an 1896 dollar coin.... So fake everything. Cheers, RickO

    Seller replied to my message, saying he didn’t know, had bought the coin at an estate sale and would take it down.

    Might be a fake slab but I like the coin,, one is probably thinking how?
    Maybe sometimes I think the same.
    So many marks and S's, along with the grand dad of them all,, the one that might match my 1834 LM3 half dime,, in the 'O'F
    inside the the actual O,, there's more also :) JMO

    I was going to LOL your comment but I thought to ask you first, Do you seriously like this coin as a legitimate Buffalo nickel?
    There are a few diagnostics common to all Buffalo nickels missing, not to mention the 3-Leg diagnostics missing. A wise forum member and Buffalo enthusiast here once said something like “if the phalus ain’t wizzing the leg ain’t missing” or something to that effect.
