Another deceptive Ebay listing

This seller has a 2021-D Morgan certified by ANACS and is advertising it as "First Strike". ANACS did not offer "First Strike" on personal submissions and if they were to it would be something stated on the label. I know people can post whatever they want on Ebay but I wish Ebay would do more to discourage deceptive listings.

Obviously a deceptive description.... may not be intentional, could be an error due to seeing the term used on other listings. Should be revised though. Cheers, RickO

We might find out if it was intentional, as I contacted the seller about it and another such listing.

People should all use the ebay listing app before accusing people of "deception".

If that were true about eBay, they wouldn’t remove anywhere close to as many listings as they do.

It is more like people should learn how to list before using Ebay. It's not that hard to be honest. The opportunity is there to proofread and accurately describe what one is selling. Deception was the intention. It's not like it was a relisting of a PCGS graded coin. Clearly the seller put both "ANACS" and "First Strike" in their listing's title AND description.

Yes, sellers should learn how to list properly. And while it certainly might have been intentional deception, we don’t know that. I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt before making such accusations.

I haven't kept up on this pricing (although $149 seems inexpensive). What is the price difference between this one and one labeled by ANACS as a "First Strike"?

In the hierarchy of deceptive listings this type is way down at the bottom. Anyone who takes a second to look at the picture will know what they are buying. In fact this opens the seller to "problem" buyers who could create a stink over not getting a first strike holder.
The seller probably included "first strike" in the title so that his item will show up among the actual first strike holders when someone uses that as a search term. This is against ebay rules though, I think called search manipulation or something like that?...

    Virtually zero.

Clearly this forum is not the place to go for the benefit of the doubt, as we also saw on the other thread.

    As I thought to myself.
So, other than the label adding no significant value- where is the deception?

I reported it as “keyword spamming” under “search and browse manipulation”.
