This will be Pop 2/1 once it goes through attribution.

    nice. no wonder this one was assigned an FS number. that is a MONSTER spread for a merc rpm! gratz!

    Thanks! It is likely the most common variety for the series but it has taken a very long time to locate an example better than 67FB. Someone even has one listed on GC in 67FB right now...not mine. :smile:

    depending on your commitment and finances and well i guess the cost of these rpms in 67 or so, have you tried to buy a few for upgrade and then sell off the rest that don't? i don't know the top pop grade for the normal date/mm so maybe a ms68 in general doesn't exist yet or maybe top pop is 68+? either way.

    it may be a bit expensive but is a route that COULD yield some fruit.

    I have focused on Mercury Dime varieties since 2010. I typically cherrypick the varieties I have owned over the years and auction off lower examples etc. It has funded a large portion of the hobby for me at different points. For this coin there is one other in 67+FB and one in 68FB, This is a cheap widget (just tough to find in the best grades)...unlike my 1931-S DDO FS-101 in MS66+FB CAC that I have listed at Great Collections right now. As for buying a few already attributed and trying to get upgrades, that has never been a game I have played.

    Nice dime.... Interesting RPM... Mercs are a sentimental favorite of mine... Got a lot of them on my paper route as a kid. Had to keep a lot of cents in my pocket since the paper was 8 cents and customers would give me a dime. Some said keep the change, but a lot wanted the two cents. Different time. Cheers, RickO
