Maybe baseball 1988-1994 fleer/donruss/score for 25.00 per? We don’t want a repeat from 2 years ago. Sad thing is they would get orders.
Uhhhh....prediction??? Within a year?
You are predicting junk wax??? I can see them doing 1952 Topps before I see them doing junk wax.
Why they have people paying 50.00 to grade 50s commons currently. They also seem focused on current cards mostly.
I don't believe that is true. No one is sending 1952 commons unless they might grade a 7 or higher, are high number, or have a rare back.
Yes but only until the backlog is cleared. If that's cleared around Sept, then I'd say specials again at the start of next year (1st quarter 2023)? I'm surprised there's not another autograph DNA special of some kind right now. The autograph side never seemed to get swamped like the grading side of things.

Sorry - wasn't trolling. Busy day in real life.
I'm an amateur who likes cards with a guess, nothing more. It will be back up with some evidence and intelligence but at the end of the day it is just an opinion.
I look at PSA as a company with two spectacular revenue streams: cards that need some form of immediate grading (vauable and expensive cards) and cards that do not require immediate grading (bulk/commons). Since the pandemic began, everything has changed about the world in general and PSA is no different. They had taken in too many cards in bulk and saw a massive surge in submission in - both areas of revenue. They also had recently started to go from public to private. So, they cranked out a ton of the former and chipped away at the latter while improving service and logistics internally. It worked. Not as quickly as we'd all like, of course, but realy well. And expanded. So, I would think that if you follow the Grade Poppage thread and the dated subs start to be about 4 months out or less popping with great frequency, I would think they'll make some type announcement to reload that revenue stream. I would also eye the prices of competitors closely as their price drops and specials have often been a harbinger of PSA cutting their rates.
I hope this is helpful; as I've said already, just an opinion. It's not like I'm always happy with PSA and I don't mean to give that impression, either. I've had some tough luck but this isn't the place to complain or be overly critical if you want to continue to hang out here and I know it. But, yes, I've taken some lumps on submissions over the years but I also know the good has always outweighed the bad in my experiences with PSA.
Always.
And if you wanted a more specfic prediction, I'll say there will be something under $20 by Christmas 2022. But I'm known to be an optimist.

Well said.
Collectibles are boom/bust. We will eventually hit the bust side for grading and PSA prices will drop closer to historical norms.
In the near term, I think they will throw the occasional bone to the PSA diehards & set registry fanatics.
Unless you are planning on selling, there is really no reason to grade cards right now. Just let the cards collect some dust for now, when card grading prices drop send in a sub. I have some cards that don't make sense submitting until it is $15 per card or so. I think we will eventually see those kind of rates again, so I am just being patient.

Fine then I will drop off 40,000,000 cards. You guys will hate me for the next 10 years.
Seriously though how many? I thought before the pandemic 500 or more was not accepted per order.
