So :)
Everyone is right,, lol dipped is funny response esp when you didn't say where?
Yeah forget that when dipping done right that not even the pros can tell it has been dipped.
Yeah forget the post about where you all say goof off is the best, where you all talk about using cotton balls to blot the whole coin for one tiny spot :)
Some actually said you don't have to do anything else cause goof off completely evaporates only leaving little tiny white circles almost invisible to the naked eye.
Hmmm yes dipped ok I believe you,,, cause after all dipping done by me is noticable LMAO 🤣😆😂😂
PS give us the goof off thread if it's wrong then we can all learn,,, but it's locked and has maybe 15 responses hmmm yeah I highly doubt you will unlock it. Trade secrets

I see you’re still up to the same old nonsense

  • RelaxnRelaxn Posts: 1,015 ✭✭✭✭✭

I am dumber for have reading this nonsense.
Is this correlating to the free masons hire Nick cage to find the pre-columbian treasure inside of Mount Rushmore using the Washington Monument as a compass to indicate which way cookie crumbled?

My issue is your rambling lacks a cogent hypothesis. Thus you are just rambling saying Dr. SEUSS type non-sensical bullshit.

What do you mean? Point out the marks or just all together?
    Or maybe the flattening concept?
Anyways back to the hunt I'll find them and share & this whole SlickCoins will be over :)

1899 IHC has an unnatural color... appears dipped.

    1825 HC looks F12, maybe 15

1826 HC looks like VF details, corroded.

Yeah I still question my camera and lighting quality affecting the color,, this is why.
1826 reverse is corroded yes maybe some on obverse also, that ruins coins huh?
Also does the 1825 rotated reverse die give any extra value?
    Thanks
Yeah prove it's been dipped when your own articles and including what @Conder101 has said, it doesn't do any harm to the coins color or copper.

    Here's comparison of colors,

    Thanks

The priceless thing about the goof off thread is one was saying their coin wasn't gonna make MS anymore,,, and how this goof off in a can don't fix damage,,,, lol ya think.
    Thanks all
PS best response to this is unlock that thread,, let us all make our own calls and not based on if it's protected by what you call trade secrets.

Yeah asking if the 1825 is a rotated die error is nonsense,,, defending the so called dipped and altered color is also nonsense.
Or the true concept behind this almost meaning less post, after being diverted for dipping.

Unfortunately, the images of the IHC were too pixelated to make any meaningful comment on the color.

Yes, corrosion is the proverbial "kiss of death" for copper. When assessing any coper piece, I look at surfaces first, then color. That 1826 is corroded and has scratches in the obverse field (I didn't see them on my phone monitor, but now do on my laptop).

Rotated dies were fairly commonplace on earlier issues... like your 1825 (which is also scratched in a prime focal area). It's the degree of rotation that makes them interesting. Interesting doesn't necessarily mean higher price when I sell. I'll note "rotated die" on the card that accompanies my Large Cents, but I don't go out of my way collecting them or pay a premium on a coin I like.
