Those early cents just have so much more character, even in worn, poor, damaged condition like ours, @WilliamF !
Shifting gears, I was a little disappointed this one didn’t get a MS grade:
That is very surprising, it would have got at least MS61-62 in my book
It's a nice one, I like the die crack above the head and all the flow lines, those make everything more cool

I just started collecting these large cents I really love the way they look. Hopefully I can continue to find some nice ones to add to my collection.
I even love to collect the Canadian large cents.

Wow, what a lovely post. Thanks Ikenific for opening. Beautiful, beautiful coins. Greg, you have some beauties as do so many. Here's a few of my early cents.

I have looked at your coin with great attention and I do not see obvious signs of cleaning. I may be missing something , but I am not seeing the typical reddish tones of cleaned copper?

I actually have a Canadian large scent that was made into a ring that I wear everyday. I don't know the date but it's from the 1903 to 1911 time frame.

Right, I think it was lightly wiped with a cloth or something, to make it a little smoother. Certainly not dipped, here’s another image:
This coin is also genuine cleaned. I bought it slabbed already:

That is quite a nice 1823/2 Cent, Newcomb-1. Quite scarce in higher grades. Congratulations!
This is my N-1, and a plain date, which is Newcomb-2.

Cleaned? It must be super subtle... I looks a little dark, but most 200 year old copper does...
