I had a great picture of my 100 corona to share on @blitzdude 's post, and then I remembered it's an Austria 4 ducat. Like the Maria Theresa silver crown and the Austrian gold 1 ducat, these are all restrikes with earlier dates, designed simply as bullion.
1915 Austria 4 Ducat (restrike) KM#2276
Fineness: .9860
Weight: 13.9636g
AGW: 0.4427oz
They're kind of neat, even if they are impractical weights and purities.
Got anything kewl this week you want to share with the class?

@Weiss... That gold coin is a beauty... Amazing mirror fields on the obverse. Cheers, RickO
Got back a couple of days ago from a 2-week vacation out in Colorado. It was beautiful there.
I knew there was gold in Colorado, so I just had to go river gold panning. Very tiny stuff but this is what we got after around 3-4 hours from the 3 of us actively panning. Doubt it weighs anything, but it was a fun afternoon nonetheless.
Was also able to score these for a touch under melt. 2-Perth Mint 1 gram gold bars sealed in assay. Premiums on this stuff is crazy so I'm surprised I got them for the price I did.

Would love to pan and detect for gold! At least you know how hard it is to find the stuff.

Nice little treasure. 2oz of gold and 30oz of silver
Certainly, would have preferred this 100 Cor-Korona price over the current one. Too lazy to do the math but easy to see which one wasn't the winner. 44 Years of history. RGDS!

We need a "love" button for that image, @blitzdude !

Some vintage patriotic bullion I just posted on the US coin forum:
Johnson Matthey "Ten Freedoms" series in original vinyl
1986 Manfra, Tordella, and Brookes (MTB) 10 ounce bar Engelhard hallmark in original vinyl
1985 MTB 1 ounce rounds Johnson Matthey hallmarks
1986 MTB 10 ounce round Mexico City Mint hallmark in original capsule

@Kliao ... I remember many days of meager 'dust' when panning.... and other days when I would find a 'glory hole'. Fun times. Cheers, RickO
Nothing new lately, how about a vintage picture?
I think I got this in 2020.

Can't take credit. Saw it in the US coin forum some months/years ago and thought better save it for historical reasons. Peace!
