I had a great picture of my 100 corona to share on @blitzdude 's post, and then I remembered it's an Austria 4 ducat. Like the Maria Theresa silver crown and the Austrian gold 1 ducat, these are all restrikes with earlier dates, designed simply as bullion.

1915 Austria 4 Ducat (restrike) KM#2276
Fineness: .9860
Weight: 13.9636g
AGW: 0.4427oz

They're kind of neat, even if they are impractical weights and purities.

Got anything kewl this week you want to share with the class?

@Weiss... That gold coin is a beauty... Amazing mirror fields on the obverse. Cheers, RickO

Would love to pan and detect for gold! At least you know how hard it is to find the stuff.

Certainly, would have preferred this 100 Cor-Korona price over the current one. Too lazy to do the math but easy to see which one wasn't the winner. 44 Years of history. RGDS!

Some vintage patriotic bullion I just posted on the US coin forum:

Johnson Matthey "Ten Freedoms" series in original vinyl
1986 Manfra, Tordella, and Brookes (MTB) 10 ounce bar Engelhard hallmark in original vinyl
1985 MTB 1 ounce rounds Johnson Matthey hallmarks
1986 MTB 10 ounce round Mexico City Mint hallmark in original capsule

@Kliao ... I remember many days of meager 'dust' when panning.... and other days when I would find a 'glory hole'. Fun times. Cheers, RickO

Nothing new lately, how about a vintage picture?
    I think I got this in 2020.

Can't take credit. Saw it in the US coin forum some months/years ago and thought better save it for historical reasons. Peace!

Got a new camera yesterday. One of the first new shots:
