Early copper pair

Well-matched coins, more brown in hand than photo. There is no visible date on the half cent but it can be attributed as C-9 from the faint die crack through the lower part of the cap. I'm not sure about the large cent. Anyways, these are just my speed and I guess I need to get some more just like them. Will update this thread if I do.

Nice coins! I like them
Nice![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Theres about a thousand different attributions for the 1794 large cent lol.
It's hard to tell for sure without seeing the reverse and a couple different angles but I believe it is one of 3: S-57, S-64 or S-66

Looks like nice smooth early copper, what’s not to like!
Any early copper with a legible date starting with 17..... is great. U.S. coins from that time just amaze me....Cheers, RickO
Picked up another nice match on the 4th of July -- 1796 LIHERTY. Here's the set:

I stopped bidding when it went over $500, it's a nice one, congrats on the win!

Thanks for dropping out!
I just saw that PCGS has a survival estimate of only 200, tied for 4th rarest draped bust variety. I didn't need this to be my type representative, but I'm happy I went for it and happy it matches the others. My first attempt at large cents a couple years ago didn't present nearly as well.
Nice score, with a bold LIHERTY and partial date!
You're welcome
Hey, you may as well go big or go home! with these to start off your large cent types I can't wait to see what the later dates you pick up look like! Your next 3 types are going to be an 1811 Classic head, an 1823 Coronet and an 1857 small date Braided Hair...;)
I love it! Why not have the best/rarest types you can afford? Very nice start!

The 1811 isn’t bad, it’s the 11/0 without corrosion that’s the killer.
Those pieces look absolutely beautiful.

Very nice 1796, LIHERTY. I believe it is the Sheldon S-103 which is the scarcer of the two Liherty varieties.
Picked up another type, up to 3.5 cents now. I have this as S-10 based on the spacing of the leaves on the obverse and the position of D and a leaf on the reverse -- of course any corroboration or correction from this community would be welcome.
Super tough coin to find without being heavily damaged or corroded... and not having to get a second mortgage on the house! Yours is lovely... IMHO...

I also come up with S-10, having ruled S-9 and all others out.
Nice coin with fairly smooth, non-corroded surfaces.
