Need help on price for twenty, originally-wrapped $1.00 Trump Plaza slot tokens

I've been offered an original, unwrapped roll of twenty, $1.00 slot tokens from Trump Plaza. The wrapping was done at Trump Plaza, and is indicated as such.
Assuming these slot tokens are the most common issue and are well circulated, is there any premium to these because they're wrapped? I am being offered these at $80.00. I do not mind overpaying a bit since I spent a lot of "quality time" there for over ten years.
Any help would be appreciated. These are being offered by a close friend, and we just want a fair transaction (either way).
He also has eighteen (18) loose tokens, which appear to be from the 1997-2007 era I spent my quality time there.
Thanks in advance

Can we get some pics?

If you want one for sentimental reasons buy one of the (18) loose.
A quick ebay search shows little collector interest/value.
Ah yes what he was originally famous for, his casinos! But yeah, when I first met my dearly departed wife I FINALLY got to go to a casino for the first time ever (that was the main thing I wanted to do as soon as I turned 21...I guess in this case I didn't get to until 25)! I think it was called Presidents' something and it was in St Louis. Duces Wild video poker is my main game...I would have done blackjack but they wanted $5 minimum per hand and that was too much (I also would've wanted to do like 3-4 hands against the same dealer; I think that makes the game MUCH more interesting). Definitely none of those boring granny (nickel) slots :P And yes I did be sure to save a few tokens from there as souvenirs...I'm sure I got 'em around here somewhere...

Well I want the roll because it is original, and I have enough people interested in the individual tokens who'd take them off my hands at cost.
I will have to ask my friend to give me some. It's just a Trump Plaza labeled blue wrapper, but I will ask him to do so and take a picture of the end tokens.
"Assuming these slot tokens are the most common issue and are well circulated"
Most slot tokens take a beating! Well circulated would be a reasonable expectation.
If it was an Unc roll I could see it bringing a premium, I don't think I would pay for a paper wrapper.
If you can sell them all and pick the best for yourself it doesn't sound like a big gamble.
My only photo is of a gaming token, which I gather is not the same as a slot token?
@halfcentman A good friend shall let you pick one to be your memento/souvenir. Just choose the best one. Good luck. Peace Roy

That's a slot token.
Thanks for the correction.
Worthless.
There is likely a very limited, niche market for these tokens. If you want them as a personal memento, fine. If you are planning on selling, pass - the limited market and low premium makes it a poor investment. Cheers, RickO
Not a Trump fan?

Very little value but probably worth more than my hoard of Chuck-E-Cheese tokens Don't overpay.
If you like them go for it as glancing at eBay they sell for more, but once you subtract shipping $4 each seems about right.
I hear they can be exchanged for Cheeseburgers!!
Worthless? IDK... if you paid me $1 each and shipping, I might take them off your hands...

Casino tokens are a popular collecting specialty, there are six times more of them listed for sale on eBay than love tokens. Anyone who thinks they have no value should consider educating themselves on the subject before offering an opinion about what they are worth.
the value of those tokens is what someone is willing to pay for them

That is what the OP is asking- how much do interested buyers generally pay?
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I was away from my computer for a few days. I got the answers I needed.
I think their answers are more about politics than coins.
I think that used slot tokens are generally 50c each. There might be some lift on those from Trump memorabilia collectors. $80 / roll seems like a pass to me.
I see tokens from Casinos all day long here in Vegas, as expected. Most have little value and most well under their stated value (usually $1 but some are $5, etc). Those that have a higher value are worth collecting as there were fewer of them to start.

A little story that happened the other day. My son, who once lived here in Vegas, has a bunch of friends that my wife and I keep in touch with. Great kids. One of them, Tim, is in the construction industry and he calls and said he's got a bunch of dollars all cemented together and could I take a look at them for me.
Sure, no problem Tim.
It seems that Tim was working downtown on a new project and these got dug up. Hundreds if not thousands of Casino Tokens (all from the same Hotel) cemented in a "ball" of concrete. It appears that the staff was told to dispose of them as they were not being used any more as Ikes were the thing in casinos. Apparently, instead of taking to the dump or just putting in the trash they had fun burying them in concrete for someone like Tim to find, decades later.
Of course they were all common and damaged and worthless but it was fun to see. These were probably left overs from an era and of course could no longer be redeemed.
