how many overdates have you made?

how else to solve a mystery but to try and recreate it sometimes?

Now spend it and see if it ends up back on here.

did it 8 years or so ago?
in retrospect, i sure would have liked to have made thousands of variations to send out. i'd do some now but don't have the punch sets anymore.
i've been through many a thrift store and never saw a set that i recall or i probably would have picked one up. i may have to revisit what some sets cost just for argument sake.
I never saw the point of making my own, fwiw

Do you have a Harbor Freight nearby? $9.99 for a 1/8" set. The 3/8" and 1/4" are a little more

Punch set? It looks like a raised design to me... are my eyes (and monitor) playing tricks???

a very common visual effect among coin images. sometimes it takes me a full 30+ seconds to dial an image in. usually, being too big/close exacerbates this effect.

@Oldhoopster
thanks for the link. i'll certainly check em out. price is a factor but not the only one. hard to argue for that price though!
maybe this will shed some light for someone reading/viewing.
3/2 - 4/4/5 - i think 1/2 (i did it essentially completely randomly unfortunately. would have been nice to have tried to match up some known ones. what can ya do?
you will notice the under 2 for the 3/2 is heavy towards the top and weak towards the bottom indicating i had a pretty good tilt w/o knowing it not that i was trying hard.
the 4/4/5 you will notice there is a 4 that is really tilted, where you can pretty much only see the the left side point, left (west) of the 5.
the 1/2 is pretty straight forward.
edited to add: for myself really, if i do some more of these, also try different depths (striking force) and tilts, slight rotations, inverted etc.
Yeah, it took me a few minutes to "see"...
