Looks like a good opportunity for people to add to their library. I already have a shelf of coin books... well, two shelves if I count the Redbook issues inventory. Cheers, RickO

I sure wish I was in the area. That looks like it could be a gold mine! The way the ad is worded it sounds like they might throw them away if someone doesn't take them. @SethChandler

If I it was not currently quarantined and 4 hours away, I would be all over those.

If I were in the same state I'd be there.

    Long drive from NY.

Too bad he doesn't list the books.

I'll ask my son if he can pick some of them up for me. (He lives nearby).

The first photo looks like a bound set of The Numismatist.
I am not as interested in those.

Contact the ANA or NNP. Maybe they can arrange something. If I had the space and finances I would fly out to get them.

you guys that are serious buyers, they can come media mail. just get the weight/size and negotiate for as many as will fit in that size box you are willing to spend for?

perhaps a few more close-up images would expedite the process?

    **rather than being recycled. **

i'm attaching a media mail weight/cost chart i got recently, you may want to verify updated prices.

My son is going there if they are still available, and I gave him a fairly general "wish list" of titles and subjects I like,
including die varieties for all US series.
If he is able to obtain some that I'm less interested in, I can post them here.
As I mentioned, I am not interested in The Numismatist. Probably most are scanned on the NNP.

    Update of sorts:

My son tried contacting the person who placed the craiglist ad twice on that Friday June 17, but they never responded.

My guess is that the books were probably already gone, but the craigslist ad was not removed.
Or maybe @Cardinal decided to keep them?

Oh, well, it was a good fantasy, thinking I might be able to get some of those good books for not very much $.

The craigslist ad was still active last Saturday June 18, which was described as the last day the books would be available.
I saved the photos and could post them here if there is interest.
Essentially it looked like there was a bound set of The Numismatist going way back,
and a lot of die variety books on gold series and silver dollars.
A couple of the books looked like they retailed for $600, so I'm not sure why they would be disposed of on craigslist.
Other photos were not large enough to identify the titles, but the ad mentioned a lot of auction catalogs.
