Can anyone determine if this coin could be genuine from these pictures?

    Looks genuine to me just corroded.

    It's genuine. It is a 4.30-K.1 variety. This is presently listed as an R2 for rarity, which is pretty common.

    Thanks lcutler. It's not mine but the collection I am reviewing has so much nonsense in it, I am surprised this is real, but then since it looks like environmental damage, I guessed it would not be faked like that.
