What is the best way to send proof coins to PCGS?

I typically use saflips to send coins in, but I have only ever sent one proof and it was circulated, so I did not worry about it too much. Now I have some fresh out of proof sets and need to know the best way to send them? Just stick them in saflips and move along? Or some other fashion? Thanks.

Just Saflips, being careful when you put them in. If they're modern issues that come with a capsule, you can submit them in the capsule. They'll be classics by the time you get them back.

Absolutely put the coins in plastic mint capsules, then put the capsules inside flips
Another vote for capsules inside flips.
Only if the capsules are an exact fit. If you put a proof coin in a capsule and it rattles around, be prepare for a disappointing grade. Even then, I don't think PCGS wants capsules unless the coins came from the mint that way. Better check with them.

I like the method of capsules in flips. Be sure they are secure fit capsules - proper size for the coin. Cheers, RickO
I've never had a problem submitting proofs in saflips.

I routinely used to put high grade coins, especially proofs, on softer sleeves inside safeflips. I was event complimented for it. The last two shows I was told not to use them….the safeflips are enough.

Thanks all. I just used the saflips. Off to PCGS the coins go this morning.
In the old days PCGS wanted proofs in polyethylene bags and then inside of the safeflips. Over time they ditched the poly bags and stuck with the flips only.
I have never had an issue submitting proofs in safeflips.

Have submitted 1,000's of coins in SafeFlips only.
This is all good to know for IF I ever (probably wont, but "IF" - never know) decide to crack out key coins from my silver sets, these wont have the airtites that my individual proofs come in. I was also wondering what the next step would be to properly submit.
Guys, sorry writing in this topic.
I have a problem to buy Saflip pockets, and have now Leuchtturm coin pockets for 2 Coins:

Are they good for sending MS and Proof coins for grading? or they can easily leave scratches on coin surface?
Thanks!
They're fine.
I agree—I was recently asked by our hosts not to use the poly bags. I like them, but I will also say that I have never had a problem with safeflips.

I always use a box. Safeflips are too small to address, and the stamps slide off.
I agree.
I'd think the team that breaks open capsules could accidentally damage the coin in doing so. I know I almost have, and I am extra careful. I have to imagine someone who is doing so quickly would be even more likely to do so.
