Does anyone here actively collect any of these 3 series?

To the long term members here over the years you have been at collecting reales have you guys see many attempt to collect either of these series or do most gravitate towards the 8 reales then the 4 reales?

Anyone around here know if these series are collected at all or have there been times when yes and times not so much?

Want this but I'm worried it's too small.

What size do you recommend? What about for pocket carry?

@BSmith great looking group you got! I like how clear the overdate is on the 1763 pillar.

Agreed that have the allure of the rarity factor for sure. And at much more affordable prices versus the 8 reales.

A nice Lima columnario from the second year of issue, 1753/2.

I've got a coin that's incredibly similar to yours:

    Very nice, Simon.
Yes very similar, perhaps the only difference is my example is the 1753/2 overdate.
(I don't see an undertype on yours?)

Correct! Mine isn't the overdate. It's almost like they lived the same life though. 😂.

Yours is also a bit nicer. If you ever let go of it, give me a jingle.
