How to have a vendor removed a coin from Ebay as they do not it have to sell? - Item now taken down

I am not an ebay user, therefore I never had a concern with reporting an issue before about coins listed on ebay .., maybe one of you more experience users can advise me.
It is PCGS slab Item listed by "dreamtrophy " and it is not in their inventory and it is NOT FOR SALE as I own it ( Since Jan of this year). I just noticed it on the ebay site through a link from a PCGS page. It appears to be actively listed. Would you suggest I just reach out to the seller or should I contact Ebay with my observation.

Contact eBay. This is a scammer if he lists coins he does not own. This has happened to me in the past.
It's actually a glitch in the matrix.
Thanks I just summited a report to ebay .. I bookmark the page and will check to see how long it is before it is removed.

First step would be to contact the seller, this would be the quickest & easiest way and may just be an error by the seller.
To be of anymore help we would need to see the ebay listing.
Ebay allows the use of stock photos so it could depend on the item description.
I have seen this many times from folks attempting to sell the inventories of others without their knowledge or consent. Typically, the markup is extremely high and they don't allow returns. Thus, if someone buys the item, they then buy it from the owner and resell at an already established obscene profit. The name you wrote from ebay appears mighty familiar, too.

Not a stock item ... as they quoted ... only 3 known! They posted the PCGS slab with cert number.
Not this time ... as I have owned it for 5 months and it was not listed for sale by me
It could have been their tactic back then and they lost track of it ... so they got caught
Thanks for sharing tactics ... one reason I have stayed away from eBay unless I know the specfic sellers from history

I suspect, as has been suggested, the seller was reselling a coin listed elsewhere. He obviously doesn't know it was sold.
But that's just a guess.
There is inventory of others, and then there is the collection of others. IMO, the latter is even worse.
I would go straight to eBay. If you go to the scammer, he'll just delete the listing and move on to his next scam. Or you could buy this coin using a PayPal account so you are financially protected to see what happens.

@retirednow ... Let us know what happens. You will likely not get a response from ebay, but the item may just disappear from the listing. Cheers, RickO
will do ... I did receive (most likely an auto response) from ebay acknowledging my reporting ... I did book mark the page and will check back in a few days ... but as of now it is still listed.
Again - appreciate the responses and observations from the posted question

Maybe I missed something but how does anyone know that the seller is dishonest? It seems they have 10,000 items for sale? A mistake in their inventory? perhaps?
We have no more than 20 DE's listed at any one time in our store but I always make sure we have the coin in hand before anything gets listed. Otherwise, I have seen mistakes in our written inventory where a coin we sold remains in inventory.
I would hate to be accused of scamming if it was due to an innocent mistake. If it happens to us my wife will have to take the fall since I will be looking to purchase new coins.
Just wondering?
tell us what it is and we can ask for close-ups of various parts on the coin
or buy it and leave negative feedback before they can cancel sale
I wouldn't call it scamming, but if a particular seller repeatedly lists pieces that are in other dealers inventory, lists them at highly inflated prices and states no returns then it might be likely that they are just grabbing images off of ebay or dealer sites and attempting to find the low hanging fruit. This is especially the case when the dealer who has the coin listed at a lower number is contacted and said dealer has no idea that the coin is listed by a third party and is also none too happy about it. In case you are wondering this is not a hypothetical, I have encountered this behavior in the past.

I noted the specific piece was de-listed today from eBay ... " This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."
