I like 64 for some reason, although it really has clean surfaces.

    AU55. Kidding kidding. 65.

  • Walkerguy21DWalkerguy21D Posts: 11,538 ✭✭✭✭✭

The angle of the light is making the obverse appear 58-ish, but the reverse is MS, so given the relatively clean surfaces I’ll go with 64.

Cannot make up my mind if that is wear or weak strike.....if wear, AU58, if weak strike, 64. Cheers, RickO

    @Walkerguy21D @ricko I agree with you both, so I'm going AU58

    But pretty coin...

    So, when is the reveal?

  • privatecoinprivatecoin Posts: 3,505 ✭✭✭✭✭

So here it is MS64 in a generic grading holder. I purchased it pretty cheap along with several other pcgs ms 64 walkers yesterday, and just thought it certainly showed more luster than they did. Definitely a pretty one I may crackout or crossover for fun.

To clarify, my actual guess was 64, I just stated that the angle of the light made the obverse look 58….

I would be in the crackout mode. Even it it just graded out at MS64 I would rather it be in a P holder
    Good luck

Based on the first images, my first thought was MS64 until I saw the slab. I’m suspicious now.

  • CoinscratchCoinscratch Posts: 8,953 ✭✭✭✭✭

Late but first thought was 65 giving the benefit of doubt with the bright lighting.

  • clarkbar04clarkbar04 Posts: 4,969 ✭✭✭✭✭

They won’t consider that a real grading company to cross over, that’s centsles eBay self slabbing company name. You’ll have to submit it raw. It looks pretty nice for a 64 and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in a 65 holder.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

It's a raw coin, not graded. Self slabbed outfit on ebay.

Throw it back in a 2x2 lol - It’s a Raw UNC - I don’t consider it a graded coin unless one of TPG auth by eBay: ANACS, ICG, PCGS, NGC.

Just send it in to our hosts.

If you grade it send it raw - that holder negatively affects its value if it is really a 64 or even a 63, so no reason to keep it in the holder if it does not “cross”

  • Walkerguy21DWalkerguy21D Posts: 11,538 ✭✭✭✭✭

With even 65s selling for under $100, I don’t think I’d sink anymore cost into get it graded. But if you want to on a whim, go for it.
Some years back a sharp local dealer bought a 43D in a junk 65 holder and it came back pcgs 67, a major score at the time.

These Walkers are often beautiful but not always worthy of grading (fees). Unless there is some other reason like sentimentality...
