Too Bad the Obverse Doesn’t Match the Reverse (1892-S 25c)

Bought this from a bad photo for a cheap price. Gave it a good acetone soak which made no difference.


Smitten with DBLCs.

    Well, the acetone soak at least tells you there is no organic deposits. Though I would have expected the darkness on the forehead and by 'IN' to be some kind of contamination. The reverse has that nice circam look. Cheers, RickO

    I'm curious about the mark at the bottom of the '8,,, also kinda looks like a mark on the reverse. :)
