Annoying, useless, and redundant Ebay e-mail notifications- any tips on how I can get rid of them?
This is after I turned off EVERY ebay e-mail notification in "Account Preferences", however I still get:
"your bid is winning" e-mail - even though all my bids are last-minute snipes
"order update", "order delivered", and "early order update" e-mail for each damn listing I win
"order confirmed" e-mail
"order shipped" e-mail
"order delilvered" e-mail
These are redundant and uncessary, as I can get this crap from looking at my account or the ebay app.
Previously, my understanding was that the last three cannot be opted out of, but the first two categories I never received on my old ebay account (as recently as 2 months ago). I have a new account just for buying, and for the life of me I cannot get rid of the useless e-mails in the first two categories (I would like to get rid of all of them, but I guess ebay just wants to annoy the crap out of you these days).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I dislike the daily barrage of emails too. Sometimes they have a “was this email helpful?” Option but not always. Lately o have been getting multiple emails daily about a coin I looked at once, never watched it, I think there is a glitch or it is just toxic marketing.

This is not the eBay of the pre-COVID days.
I blocked eBay from emailing me (in my email app, not on eBay). Anything truly important like messages I’ll get notifications for anyways.
If people are going to complain about notices coming from eBay, they should stop allowing buyers to rate sellers on "Communication", since that communication can only come through eBay.

No idea. I have tried everything too.
Doesn't most email software support blocking certain addresses?
You could use an email address that you never check. Hotmail or Gmail whatever.

I do not buy much on ebay.... and rarely get notices. I guess if it was used for buying/selling a lot, those would get annoying. Use an email address from a group that allows blocking. Cheers, RickO
Yeah, I could block ebay e-mails, or set up a throwaway e-mail account for them. One benefit from managed payments is the annoying Paypal e-mails ended.
I would like to still get e-mail notification of certain things, like e-mail messages, but really wish I could opt-out of those duplicative shipping update e-mails if possible. If there is somewhere other than "account preferences" to turn off these e-mails, please let me know!

it can be a bit cumbersome to learn at first but the ebay community has tons of useful info and usually if something is not working and/or bugging us, it is for someone else as well and they will post it there.
Yeah, tried that too. Probably the easiest thing to do is just block all ebay e-mails, and just rely on the app and website to stay on top of things.

not sure if you are trying to stop ALL ebay notifications or just the redundant ones, so if you want to be able to sort through them if needed (not permanently deleted) but not have them clutter up a main email, you can switch ebay emails. shouldn't be too cumbersome.

just to be accurate. you mean email notifications, not ebay app notifications, right?
Yes
