Proof Ike, 69 vs. 70

How hard is it to get a PR70 on these? I picked up this one in an envelope put in a 2x2. I'm figuring the chance of a 70 is too small to submit.

Would need much better pictures
Not worth trying even without better pictures. The difference between 69 and 70 is to fine and generally not reproducible.
Well, just Love coins, period.
Maybe, but it looks like there might numerous flaws and/or spots on the lower right portion of the obverse as well as on the right side of the reverse. If those aren’t on the coin, at least the OP will hopefully realize that the pictures don’t do any good.

From my experience, your chances of receiving a PR70DCAM for that particular date is approximately 1/225 for “fresh” coins. Around 4/10 of 1% chance for fresh. Of course, far, far less of a chance for screened material.
Wondercoin
Maybe. But anything you see could be on the 2x2. Hence the need for much better pictures, outside the 2x2.
Probably between my Fujifilm finepix camera with a simple macro and a high resolution scanner it would be hard to do a proper picture to make the judgment. I did not see any contact marks on the coin that was in some type of plastic sleeve since the early 70s, but as I did not dip in acetone, there is a tiny bit of noise in the fields not contact marks.
Full, straight on pictures of obverse and reverse, not in the 2x2, would allow some reasonable commentary. Of course, the difference between a 69 and 70 would really have to be judged in hand. Cheers, RickO
