Found this Morgan and know it is a key date but is this too good to be true? Is this a fake? I am very apprehensive and any help is greatly appreciated

Just my opinion, I would say counterfeit. A heavily faked key date coin, and too good to be true.

It’s unquestionably a copy, with no numismatic value.

I believe you have a fake there. (amateur's opinion, get a real expert to look at it) Probably safe to say that most legitimate 1889 cc Morgans have been encapsulated at this point, and any raw 89-cc should be heavily scrutinized.

Some copies are good enough to make it impossible to know for certain, based on their images. This one leaves no doubt.

@TeacherCollector Mr. @MFeld is an expert. You were right to be skeptical. The old saying is "There is no Santa Claus in Numismatics"

    No, it's not authentic.

I agree with mfeld that some copies are impossible to identify from a picture but this is not one of them. There are many sites on the internet that give suggestions or some basic advice on some obvious signs of a copy. Having said that some people collect fakes, I am not sure of the laws about marking them.

This is a fake CC Morgan.... shallow design elements, surface strange.... Looks like an Asian fake. Cheers, RickO

Thank you all so much!! Yeah I was definitely 90% sure it was a fake but figured I would ask all of you for a second opinion.

I appreciate all of you and this community so much

    Note for future reference:

Take coin out of holder before taking pictures.

The holder may/can hide many problems
