2005 d Lincoln cent

Feeder finger obverse and reverse? What's with the second column on Lincoln's left? What about the column to the right of Lincoln, right next to his hand. Also the last two columns on the left looks like they're splitting. What's up with them ?

PMD and some die deterioration. Nothing interesting to 99.99% of the people.

There is nothing of any numismatic significance there. It is simply spending money.

I agree with the above information. Just a cent with circulation marks and die erosion. Cheers, RickO

There is no premium for "Chicken Pox" coins. Good conversation pieces, though.

99.999% would probably be a more accurate percentage.

Do you have a reference? >:)

On this forum, it appears to only be about 70%. The number of threads devoted to minor die chips and other minutia on coin roll finds is getting to be excessive. Remember when we used to debate the origins of 1913 Liberty nickels, the existence of branch mint proofs, the authenticity of exonumia. Now, all we do is decide if that blurry picture represents a millimeter long die gouge or a millimeter long scratch next to Washington's nose.

While I'm sure it is very exciting for you to find a 40% Kennedy half in a coin roll, I'm not sure why any of the rest of us need to be dragged into the celebration.

I personally really like 'chicken pox' coins. I think they're pretty cool looking!

This coin really needs to have its own thread... possibly two.

And don't forget to bump the thread every now and then so it stays on the front page.
