What a shame about those 16-D’s. Hopefully the buyers realize they are fakes and returns them. I really hate to see this. Without proper knowledge this plays out on eBay every day. Very sad for the hobby.

the 3 on the buffalo is embarrassingly bad.
the 16-d will take a little more knowledge but not much more. the profile looks off, the date and mint mark. a good way to avoid getting nailed by counterfeits is just to look for flags. someone will probably miss a few good coins but more importantly will miss a lot of bad ones.
Counterfeiters can never seem to get the date right. That’s the first thing I look at.
Whoa, I only wish that were true. Would make life easier.
