That's how I took it. Given the number of coins dumped in the ocean of the Philippines, it could be Interesting find.
My mind immediately went to Don the Beachcomber tokens.
Never seen the counterstamped coins, but he has a pretty cool token from Hawaii that is valuable.

I read that after a bad hurricane, Spanish cob coins could be found on some North Carolina beaches after they washed up from sunken Spanish shipwrecks just offshore. That would really be cool.
