1914-D Lincoln Cent 'altered 1944-D' (link included)

Well, we have that giant gap in the middle of the date!
It has the wrong font type mint mark of a 14-D!
Tooling is clearly visible at the date (altered 1st 4)

Absolutely positively fake. That scratch job on the second "1" in the date is pathetic.

How many this week already? SVDB and 14D combined. I’m not finding anything here on this end. Which is a good thing too.

Well, There was one each of the listed that was also taken down outside of the forum, and one 55 FAKE.
And there was one more that due to the volume of them on this forum I posted it elsewhere for help.
You should be able to view my personal discussions for the total list of my threads.
But below is a screen shot of my most recent threads.

Incredible 😮 That averages over 1 per day in not quite 2 weeks 😬 I only check the 55 and the 3 Morgans I mentioned to you earlier. Haven’t found anything since, but I’m sure I will soon. I spend most of my time searching for die varieties. But when I’m not doing that I’m searching for counterfeits. Just trying to help the hobby and protect fellow collectors from being duped. There have been so many times that eBay has ignored my reports and the auction was allowed to continue until its end. One particular week, not very long ago, eBay allowed a little over $5K in sales of 4 counterfeit coins that I was watching , all of which I reported well before the auction closed. Absolutely drove me crazy. It’s nice to know that you have connections in dealing with this BS because now I know I have someone to go to who can actually get something done about it. I won’t hesitate to contact you when I find something, and I’m sure it will be sooner rather than later.

:D Most of them where 09SVDB's. Keep in mind that the SVDB is known as the King of Lincoln's, but it holds another title!
Its King of all the US coin counterfeits # 2 is believed to be the 1916-D dime.
Put a tad of wear on a tender 16-D dime and for me it just impossible to spot a phony! Its unimaginable how many of these are sliding by on just ebay alone.

    OP update!
Looks like someone contacted the seller, explained what was going on and the reputable seller ended the listing!
    Poof! its gone.
    Nice!
    Thanks to the group ;)

Great job 👏🏻 it’s nice when you’re dealing with a reputable seller, someone with ethics. Most of the time I get a newbie who talks to me like I’m a mumbling bumbling idiot who has no idea what he’s talking about. And then they start slinging insults and curse words at me. It doesn’t stop me from confronting them though. I love this hobby and I’ve been a collector for 48 years, a seller for about 25 years. They don’t care about the hobby….they care about the money.
