Some big numbers for sure. Love the 8.5 as a value/sweet spot vs many of the 9’s in general.

Most of my bids got blown away, but strangely got the 1961 Topps lot/partial set for well under my max bid.

Anybody win anything interesting or exciting?

How can we talk highlights of that auction and not mention the Goudey Ruths and Gehrig?

The yellow Babe PSA 8 they had is likely the best #53 in the hobby. Better than the 9 they sold. It went for almost a million bucks.

They had a PSA 3 White Back 1956 Mick that was stunning. I was out on it at 3k congrats to whoever landed that beauty.

I thought the 62 Mantle was a terrible buy and poorly cut. Must have been a Registry play.

Thought the 51B PSA 6 Mick went low.

The signed OC 53 Mantle at 33k was good to see.

For the Topps era of Vintage, 9s have gone berserk but 8s seem to have leveled off. The difference between 8s and 9s continues to widen. Think there are a lot of modern collectors moving to Vintage who are used to paying high premiums for 10s and have moved the needle on 9s.

As others have mentioned, I think 8.5s will move up. It has always been my favorite grade - but with today’s prices I have moved from 9s, 8.5s and 8s to 8.5s, 8s, 7.5s and 7s.

    Congrats on the ‘58 Robinson!

I won the 58 Frank Robinson. Gonna have to part with a few things.

I hope you don't have to part with the Brown or Bronco rookies. I love those two!

Successful coin BST transactions with Gerard and segoja.

Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.

I hope not the Brown rookie, a kidney or a lung. I mean maybe you could do without the kidney..... LOL.
