When do I get to find out how wealthy I am?! ...My PCGS MS67 WCD quarters

Any guesses as to when the values for the 2021 WCD quarters will populate?
Because until I'm told differently, I'm asking one million dollars a piece

I hope you have been buying all of the lower selling ones on eBay like this one

Appreciate you lookin' out for me!
Yup! Not only that, but I bought more than a handful of these.
Is it weird that I love ALL the new quarters?! ...I don't care, I am weird

Well, since there's already 5 68's I would not expect any serious changes in the values set by eBay.
As for when prices are posted? They'll have to go up on a National Auction before PCGS will post any prices since ebay is either hit or miss.
My experience has been that PCGS won't even consider private sales. It has to be a public sale.
Throw a few up on Great Collections. Maybe PCGS will pick them up?

    Have you asked PCGS?

However, those 68's are the one's to watch since they are the one's which will control the PCGS Registry Prices.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Congratulations on the 67!
67 is the demanding/sought after grade, the most in all coins.
Anything higher is just a bonus.

To each his own. Collect what you want and like and have fun!

    Pete

Just to clarify, I've collected more than just modern quarters...since the 70's
...and I still collect more than just modern quarters

Just to clarify further, currently I'm really enjoying trying hard to pull out some MS68s from modern rolls and Mint rolls!
And thank you! The fun is happening!

That’s great news. My first thought was “probably $5,” but it looks liked the linked example is almost triple that. Unfortunately with grading fees the submitter is under water. EBay makes it even worse as it means additional overhead costs as well.

As long as you’re having fun OP, that’s all that matters. I recommend you keep the 67s in a flip and learn to recognize the 68s or even 69s which have a better chance of paying off. Nice example with nice luster by the way.

Appreciated. But I got these for a deal already graded.

No issues here recognizing 68's and 69s...as in my own coins with our host in fact

I'm guessing out loud here, based on the 2021 Tuskegee quarter that these WCD quarters will be listed at more like $30-$40 or more for MS67

PCGS will populate the price guide "correctly" when you demonstrate a repeated ability to sell them for $1,000,000.

I hope you have a lot of fun....I am sure you will if you sell one for $1,000,000. Party time!!! Cheers, RickO

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

  • After doing some research. First day of issue on these would mean they came from the unc set? Since no roll or bags were sold? That would indicate only 1 non set 69 D has been graded by both ngc and pcgs? Or, am I wrong?

  • First day of issue means from mint set, right? There can't be a known first day of issue for this coin any other way? Since nothing else was sold directly by the mint for this coin?

There are also a few First Strike labels (1 MS67 and 7 MS66), plus whatever NGC label varieties there are. I know there is an Early Release.

  • But all those required knowing the on sale date? These coins were never sold to the public, outside of into circulation, or is that incorrect?

They were most likely graded with the full 14 coin set.

  • Thanks! Just wanting to make sure I understand the system. It appears NGC puts it on the label directly.
