Well now... If that sells - at that price - I am going into business. I know I have a 'fortune' in a gallon jug of cents. Cheers, RickO

He scored a major, large DB cent instead - because the seller is a major, large dirtbag.
I have no experience pricing or even grading US coins as I am into Canadian stuff.
You guys seem to have an issue with the sellers starting and asking price???
or are the underlying issues something else.? is the coin a fake? If so, I do understand your issues.
but, if the coin is real???? why would the seller be a dirt bag?
or whatever? not trying to defend the seller nor judge your comments.
remember, you as the seller can ask anything you like...I have seen well over 10K asking prices for coin worth pennies. And.... I have also experenced it the other way around.
But, please explain why you all are somewhat upset?????
just asking

You sure it isn’t a mule or a cent on a foreign planchet? Maybe it’s an unknown doubled die? Matte proof?
TurtleCat Gold Dollars
The coin being offered has a value equivalent to a 1969 Canadian cent. A quick internet search would reveal that the coin is worth face value. Either the seller is too lazy to do the quick, basic research, or trying to find a sucker that will overpay.
It's unlikely the seller will find a buyer, but new collectors could see this and get the wrong idea. Forums like this get numerous questions from newbies who think their common coin is valuable because they saw something on the net. Some we can set strsight, but some will argue and think we're trying to cheat them (look at some of the responses from a couple of newbies over the last week or 2). That's why things like this get a lot of negative feedback
Just my opinion
Denver produced just a tad over 4 Billion of these cents. Worth a cent is all, that's why the laughter.

Trade Me sellers list a lot of foreign items as a novelty.
Most Kiwis are sharp.
thanks guys,,,
I guess he goes by the saying:
there is a sucker born every minute....and I get myself one.
it is sad that Feebay or any selling platform, does allow this practices..
I had a feeling I was collecting the wrong series. It's the junk copper demanding the big bucks.
