Coins and stonks

Considering this mass beating equities are taking, do coins continue to sell at these higher levels? Obviously nice pieces command nice money. Do people get scared and turtle up? Or do you continue to go after nice coins? I know where my coin budget went

I think it's a new kind of crypto currency.

Slang for stocks, came from a meme if I remember correctly, it's a long story
. Us young people do that every now and then.

What he said. I think stonk came from Reddit wallstreetbets forum during the thrilling GameStop (maybe AMC too) fiasco. What a wild, fun, profitable event that was!

Its what you have after a stock you bought thinking it was going to rise in value , but it actually "tanks" in value.
Stock + Tank = "Stonk".
AKA my portfolio
I invest in stonks but I don't care what stonks do. Market pullbacks are GREAT for me as somebody still actively accumulating shares.
Market pullbacks are the best thing that can happen to you when you're younger... every dollar you stash away is compounded even more when you buy the dip.
Still buying coins personally. Can't imagine it's a different story for anybody with income still coming in.

I don’t think a suffering stock market will cause coins to go down. The dow, nasdaq, and s&p have all been pretty steadily decreasing since the start of 2022. Coins on the other hand? Not so much. As money exits areas like equities and crypto it will look for somewhere else to rest. Some as cash, sure, but tangible finite assets like coins will be on the radar for many.
The logical reaction for a market drop is to average down with good solid companies as you say; but for some reason my reaction is to buy more coins. Doesn't make good financial sense, but it makes me happy.
My investing is entirely automated and out of my hands at this point. And it's better that way.

Yeah, people having less money will increase their discretionary spending....
It’s odd how often I see you in threads bickering with people. I wasn’t referring to discretionary spending and if that wasn’t obvious enough in my first comment I won’t waste my time elaborating for you.
I would be less worried about the stock market and more concerned with rising interest rates. With the 10-year treasury approaching 3% investing in fixed income starts to look attractive, esp. if the Fed can get a handle on inflation.
Most of the coin market is discretionary. People buying $10k coins as "investments" is not the norm. MS65 common date Morgans tend not to be "investments". There is a wealth effect and it is really hard to see how the Fed bubble bursting won't touch coins.
They are connected. The normalizing of interest rates should pop a lot of bubbles across multiple asset classes.
Stonk is the past tense of stink.... As in "Remember that dead skunk in the middle of the road? It really stonk."
