Nice! I have wanted a Henning for years, and look at every 1939 nickel I can find in hopes of cherry picking one someday. I plan to some day sift through my bags of old circulated nickels and check for the diagnostics on the Henning years.
If you ever want to trade it let me know.

@OAKSTAR... Very nice specimen.... What are the PUP's?? Cheers, RickO
OP's coin is a 1944. What did all war nickels have? A large, prominent mintmark centered above Monticello, including those from the Philadelphia mint. Henning forgot to add that.
Some Henning nickels have a damaged R in PLURIBUS. There's a gap in the lower stand...a void or hole. I think this is true of the 1939 and some 1944's. Not sure about the later dates.
Some 1939 and 1944 have a reverse die crack, rim to dome. Like lighning striking Monticello.
All Henning nickels have a porous appearance and mushy detail.
Lance.
If you want it authenticated, ICG will authenticate that its a genuine counterfeit.

@lkeigwin ... Thank you.... The missing mint mark is a major clue
Thanks for the details. Cheers, RickO

I wonder if divers ever found the coins Henning dumped in the Schuylkill River.

Pup = pick up point/points
I looked on the ICG site. I did not see where the counterfeit label can be obtained. How did you submit for that service?
