My first PCGS submission results since pre-COVID
Let's start off the week sharing some grading results. I sent in two submissions worth of coins back in late January, the first was a quarterly special (grade 4 Modern, get 1 free) and the second is an economy submission that just went to QA status on Friday so hoping for those grades this week. I have acquired these coins over the past 2 years (or earlier) as I was holding back on submitting some coins until I was more comfortable with the results I saw coming out of the grading room.
I have to report, I am more in agreement with the grades on this submission than I have been with any submission results in quite awhile. Of course, there were still some that graded under my hopes/expectations and a few that lacked the designations (CAM/DCAM) I was hoping for, but overall I believe they were in line with my expectations. There were several coins that upgraded my sets, so that's always a good thing. Here are some of my favorite/best results from the submission. Enjoy!
First the CAM/DCAM candidates:
PR67CAM - Small Date
SP67CAM
SP67CAM
SP67+CAM
PR68DCAM (Monster frost)
SP68CAM
SP68CAM
PR69DCAM
PR69DCAM
SP68CAM (Top Pop)
SP68CAM
SP68CAM
PR69DCAM
PR69DCAM
PR69DCAM
Then a few toned ones:
SP66
SP67 (Splotchy toning, but the reverse is radiant)
SP67 (Yes, also splotchy, but strangely vivid color out of an SMS Set)
PR68
Lastly a few misses:
SP65 - Definite cameo, but spots likely held it back.
PR68CAM - Not sure why not DCAM.
SP67
PR68CAM - I thought DCAM
SP66CAM - Had a shot at DCAM
SP64 (Something missing IMO)
SP66 (Something missing)
SP66CAM - Shot at DCAM
And one bonus for your amusement, check out all of the strike throughs on this one: https://images.pcgs.com/trueview/43980101_max.jpg

nice bunch and congratz.
do you mind sharing the order? i enjoy seeing the whole, for better or worse. i was just running certs starting at the beginning but was taking too long. (if not, no big deal)
that last one struck through all that debris is neat!
a couple/few look like lock dcams that didn't get it.
always like seeing those sp cams. those sure get pricey in a hurry!
the 69s 5c. sheesh. if all the coins here had that much frost, pcgs would be morally obligated to give em all dcam. lol

Very nice! 1965 CAM minors are very hard to make, congrats!
Coin Photographer.
the No FGs are cool too.
Did PCGS list them as such on the inserts?
peacockcoins
No they didn't, I'd requested variety service for those 2, but it must have been overlooked on the submission form. At least, they didn't charge me for the variety service, but I also didn't get the designation, which is the only reason they'd be worth submitting.

Glad to see that your grades and photos have been posted. Some great results for you.
I am waiting for grading results and photos to be posted for orders I submitted to PCGS in late February. Hopefully results will be posted within the next month. Included in my orders are some of the same 1965-1970 Proof and SMS coins you submitted.
.

Wow! You put all those coins through as one order!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Out of curiosity, how did you acquire these coins? Were they all raw cherry-picks?
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
those SMS frostings are spectacular
I have a modern submission for quarterly special but they got mine late March ... a couple months more
Nice.
@ModCrewman... Those are very impressive coins... I like those DCAM Kennedy's and the Jefferson. Cheers, RickO
All of these were raw purchases out of original sets. This submission represents thousands of sets searched.
