I hand picked some “junk” silver at my LCS today for 21.25 face. I like “junk” silver, because it satisfies both my numismatic desires, as well as a way to stack some silver.
Let’s see some of your “junk” silver purchases.

I miss $13x face 90%
I haven't bought any in a long time.

Found in a LCS junk Barber coin box a few weeks back. Paid 28X face.
A few finds from the past year or so.
A week ago I picked up a roll of Canadian dimes, quarters, and halves for 17x face 20x on the halves. Must have been a collection. Good run of dates especially in the dimes
Junk? This is some good looking junk!

Some of those Washies seem to depict some toning.
$5.60??? Let me see if I have this right as it was explained to me about "junk silver". $1.00 face = silver spot ($22.60) plus premium ($2.75) multiplied by .715 which comes out to $18.12 / $1.00 face which is approx. 18X. Is my premium wrong? How is that determined?
Yes, those 7 Washingtons are really brilliant with a little bit of pleasing toning on some. From the looks of them, it looks like they were all stored together. I snagged those right away.
I do not look for junk silver.... Though I get it in change sometimes (dimes or quarters). If I saw some WLH's for sale I might be tempted though. I do like those coins a lot. Cheers, RickO
** old thread alert **
Picked up $2.10 worth of "junk" silver at my LCS today.
I bought a roll of 90% halves at the local B&M in Gettysburg Pennsylvania not to long ago, I didn’t need it but I like to patron the old timers when I come across them.
11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
Just acquired at a show today for 16x FV. I mentioned it to a dealer friend and he had me go back and grab the other $25 bag for him.
Well, not sure if this counts. Over the years, theoretically they were purchased. From banks for face. Even some proof Franklin's, can you believe it!!

If @OAKSTAR can post that, then I can say that last year I pulled 232 “junk” silver coins from rolls at face value, totaling 25.25457 Troy ounces at an average price of $1.92 per ounce. I guess you might say that that is 1x face. I also found 0.36169 oz for free and 0.05626 oz for 5x face.(a war nickel in a quarter roll)

Handpicked these quarters and splurged on a neat 5oz bar. It's a match to my 10oz.

The ‘08-D Barber is definitely cleaned, that’s why I got it cheaply, and the ‘11-D was listed as a ‘11-“P”.

Here's a nice bag that I put together, one of the great bargains in all of coin collecting, all this for not much more than melt -
50 Morgan dollars
50 Peace dollars
100 Walker halves
100 Barber halves
200 Standing Liberty quarters
200 Barber quarters
500 Mercury dimes
500 Barber dimes
So equal face value of every denomination, 100 bucks each. Had to get the mix just right
I have a junk jar for my junk silver.
