Anyone collect small cents?

I seem to have a small addiction.

Lincoln Wheat Cents

Lincoln Memorial and Shield

I even have the original Whitman folders. (Well technically the folders are updated, the coins are the originals I collected in my younger days).

    Your 1994-P is actually a 1994-S.

    Nice sets!
You've got a good copper eye.

Several memorial p mint are actually S mint. I like proofs more so I put in a few for a pop of shine.

    I’m on the same registry. I’m number 37, but I don’t really collect slabbed Lincoln’s, I added a few I picked up.

Couple of very nice key dates you have in your registry set. :)

Great set. I lack the 09svdb for my 3rd and last set. Welcome to the forum. Collect Indians(they are small cents)?

Yes, I have a full set in RAW and have a registry set, but that is missing all the Anacs slabbed coins.

They look great in the Dansco! 👍🏻 👍🏻

The question should probably be......Who has never collected small cents? 😂 🤣

I have a Lincoln Dansco too. I have everything except 1909-S No VDB, 1914-D, and 1924-D. My main focus is on getting the earlier mintmarked dates in high grades… as a result I have stuff like the 1938 in XF, lol. The vast majority of the coins in my set including my 1909-S VDB were acquired for 3¢ each.

    Very nice.
This was the begining of the rabbit hole for me since the itch had to be scratched and the love affair with numismatics started. Took about four decades to complete the Lincoln penny set
Have very few in slabs because filling up the different albums was my cherished dream as young collector and coming back after a very long hiatus, had compromise here and there, settling for lower grades.

I see you did what I did which is substitute Philly BS strikes for proofs. I started proofs at 1936 and my 1924 D in AG and was found in the 60's when I first started collecting. It takes 6 Capital Plastic Boards to do an entire set including satins, proof, all the 2009's, West Point, etc. Board # 6 starts with the 2021 cents. This is Board #1 and 5.

Digging your set. Seems like you have some of the tougher mintmarked teens and 20s in very nice grades.

Great sets! I play a little with early Lincolns. I’m slowly assembling a 1909-1929 set. All PCGS MS63-65s, most with woodgrained toning. Lots of fun, and quite challenging.

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

Those are really nice Lincoln sets. I have an old album with a lot of them... have not looked at it in many, many years. This thread makes me want to dig it out and see what is actually there. I know there are empty holes... likely the key dates and where I left off and onwards. Not sure there is much beyond the fifties or so... Cheers, RickO

Very Nice! I decided to stop with 2019. If I find a nice Lincoln in change I'll put it aside but am no longer actively getting the new ones. The quality of the zincolns is pretty bad with black spots forming on large amount of them.
