Holder for slabs

Some years ago, a forum member posted info on someone who could make Capital Plastic - like holders that would encase a PCGS/NGC slab. It was the 3-piece unit, with a very thick middle piece, metal screws, etc. While it sounds like complete overkill, it would be beneficial for display purposes, particularly for irreplaceable slabs. This is not the Chinese version currently offered on ebay, but a real very heavy duty one. They were not cheap, but very high quality, just like Capital Plastics. Does anyone have any recollection of this post? I cannot locate it after an exhaustive search. Thanks for any help!

has slab display boxes.
Some dealers even ship coins in them. I find them attractive but too big for storage.
I do use one as a "desk coin" display.
@littlebear Is this the holder? https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1014182/ngc-or-pcgs-slab-coin-protector-case
Didn't see any details on there to purchase.

Actually this is the one from China that is on ebay. The one I am looking to find was a heavy plexiglass 3 part that screwed together like the Capital plastics one. Thanks for looking!
You might be able to get a plastic shop, or someone with a CO2 laser to cut/engrave it out pretty easily. Like these. https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/12868431/#Comment_12868431

Capital Plastics will make custom holders for coins. They may make you a custom holder for a slab although it may be expensive. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

I've seen one before or believe I know what you are referring to. What I recall was glass or acrylic with no framing borders. It stood straight up but had clear base. It only held 1 slab. I thought it was on the Wizard Coin website that I saw it at but just looked there, at Littleton, Modern Coin Mart, and a general web search without luck. Will keep checking because now I'm curious.

This.
FWIW, the 'Capital Plastics' website says that they have a "new" holder for certified coins.

I did a quick search, but was unable to find it online. However, I was able to locate their "embodiment for large currency". If they offer a stock version of this for slabs, it might meet your needs.
Thanks everyone for your help! Am still looking!
Is this what you are referring to?

That's the idea, but with screws. That is neat!
