Hi all!

Long time lurker, but just recently joined.

Been a coin collector since I was 7, been a serious paper collector for about 3 years.

I prefer to collect coins of the 1900 to 1940's. My favorite series are the IHC. I have a full set raw.

And I've been working on the registry set, but as about 20 coins are in Anacs slabs, I doubt I will ever crack out the coins:

https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/269539/

I also like ASE

I recently completed the type set of US fractionals:

And I'm working on a US Type set of notes from $1 to $20, I know I'll never finish, but its a nice long term goal.

And have a nice set of coins and currency from Portugal

And I know we have a bullion forum also, I have a few coins that meet those qualifications.

But the reason I really joined is that I found all these coins, in a parking lot, after I drove over them a few times and wanted to know what type of error they are and how much can I sell them for ;)

Welcome! The forums become a lot more fun once you can actually reply to topics instead of lurking, I wish I had joined earlier instead of lurking!

And of course, you have a handful of super valuable errors which could only be worth ten million dollars…

    Also, amazing IHC set!

Welcome and wow on the collection. Did you get most of the coins in the folder raw or did you crack them out?

Hi and thanks for the welcome. Majority (99%) of the coins in my albums I purchased RAW, I have several coin shops that I have a good relationship with and when I can check out the coin, I have no issue purchasing RAW. With eBay, I tend to be a little more cautious, hence why majority of coins from eBay are slabbed. The coins in my 7070 Registry set or in my IHC registry set I purchased already slabbed except for about 20 ANACS IHC as those I slabbed myself.

This is my 7070 registry set.

VERY NICE registry set and love the virtual presentation.

Do you know of a software program that would allow someone to create a virtual folder like that? I have a couple of sets (Franklin Halves and a date set) made up of raw coins I'd like to put in a virtual album if there was software available.

    Guess the grade

Here is the issue, if it’s a mint state graded coin and it’s not proof, it will be MS62-65 and if it’s proof it will be PF69. I’m a little predictable . I don’t stretch for PF70 and I rarely pay MS66+ prices. My wife says I’m cheap, I say frugal ;)

Understandable, mine are pretty predictable too. The really tough ones are those that fall between 58 and/or 63 especially Peace or gold.
