    Nice find... Too bad about the (apparent) zinc rot - or something - Might enquire about conservation, though I think it may be too late. Cheers, RickO

    Just leave it alone. The corrosion spot won't go away. Even though the coin is not in great shape the variety is very clear and someone will like it. (This assumes it is an actual variety and not the result of circulation damage.)

    I have accepted when CRH. Most coins will have issues with circulation. ;)

    100% an rpm a nice one too. (i'd look it up but there are probably 100 of them)

    do you think mineral oil will worth on these types of spots. i've always wanted to try but never have. i personally would rather look at what may be left behind than the green goup which could still be active.

    In the case of this coin I think any attempt to "improve" the look of the corrosion spot would only end up making it look worse. As it is it looks like a cent that, while imperfect, is at least original and not messed with.
