Nice trip to the bank today

I went to the bank to swap out rolls of nickels and the teller àked if i wanted these also. She was not sure what they were. She showed me 5 US Mint wrapped rolls of cents. Four of them were the 2009 Lincoln Presidential rolls and the 5th was a roll of 2010 Shield cents. She also had a roll of the 2006 Westward Journey jefferson nickels. I happily took all 6 rolls and the 33 rolls of nickels and smiled all the way to the parking lot. What a great way to start the day. B)

I've never gotten complete rolls of 40's or 50's. The rolls that I do get are usually farm fresh circulated rolls. But in these rolls I seem to to see about 10-15 % in that year group. I found a 1943 P war nickel this weekend and 2 weeks ago I found a proof nickel. Today I came across a roll of Uncirculated 2006 D Nickels that was in a customer rewrapped roll. I find enough to motivate me to keep the search alive. B)

Interesting group of rolled coins. I am starting to think I may search rolls of half dollars again. Have not done that for about three years. Might be time to try again. Cheers, RickO

The banks here in the Carolinas will not give out rolls anymore. We seem to have a change problem with many businesses asking for exact change or credit cards. I used to search quarter rolls and no bank around here will let me have any these days ...

    Very cool.
I too, recently had found mint rolls from the bank. Mine were the Statehood quarters.
Those 2009 Lincoln rolls, I do believe, are very low mintaged. Esp. The Presidential days. Plus, the Formative Years roll, may have many dd's. Extra Thumb, skeleton finger, 6th finger...
    Very cool find.
The Jefferson nickels, the 2005d, may have the very popular "Speared Bison"?
    Big money, for that one!
    Good Luck
    ;)
