Not sure if this has an associated thread that I might have missed, but has anyone put a birthyear set together, for themselves, that you can display? Here's mine. I tried to get same grade that I could afford but had to settle on the Frankie. Show yours if you have one.

nice display
I do have a registry set of proof coins from the year I was born in.
I was born in the 60's and frankly I do not like the production quality or look of most of the coinage of that time so doing my birthyear is not something I want to put together. I did however put together a set for my mothers birthyear as the coin designs were so much more attractive in 1940.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I have the mint set and proof set in the original packaging from my birth year. Nothing slabbed.

Way cool
I have casually obtained coins from my birthyear.... some slabbed, some raw. Not in a set of any kind. I guess most people take notice of a coin from their birth year... Cheers, RickO
I would be more inclined to do a 100 year prior set as I find the coins in my BY set boring!
Here’s mine. Happy Friday!
I've never done this but it is a great idea that I have considered.
Maybe I will do it someday!!

Nice set. The 59 half in cam is a tuff find

That's a neat set. I have thought about it, but have never pulled the trigger to actually do it.

Here is my year set in a Seitz holder.
You aught to try 1975. It is such a boring set with only a common looking cent, nickel and dime. For something better I had to go with 100 years before Batman and went with a high AU set. https://pcgs.com/setregistry/u-s-coins/mint-sets/1875-mint-set/publishedset/179583
Very nice set! Have to get a bigger display for that one. Lol

That's cool! I did a economical 1943 set for my mom a few years back for her birthday. Put them in a little birthyear picture frame.

Here is my birth year proof set - all deep cameos

Very Cool, Love it!
Not great pic but shows cameo contrast pretty good - which was not common in your average proofs sets of the day! All are PR68CAM except the nickel (67) and the cent (68 RD - but looks cameo to me).
Yeah. Bought the mint and prof sets and called it a day.
Actually, my mom bought them when I was born now that I think about it.
Fathers birthdate and mother’s birthdate - you don’t have to stop with just yourself...!!!
Or even our relatives...!!:
Those are sweeeeet! Thanks for sharing!

In 2000, for her 90th birthday, I made my grandmother a circulated birth year set.
I've thought about doing this before but the clad stuff doesn't do it for me at all. Maybe I'll do like Batman23 and make one for the year a century prior to my birth year.
My partial year set, but not my birth year:
Nice one Bobby!
I'm lucky, I was born in 1958, so I've got the last of the Wheaties, and nice toning. I've got two sets; a cameo proof set and a mint set.

I’m in the camp of maybe doing 100yrs previous. I’ve got proof sets for mine and my parents’ birth years (and sister and kids) but putting together and displaying 1882 is a lot more interesting to me than 1982.
That is an awesome way to display a birth set. Really like that.

I never get tired of seeing Skyman's 1958 proof half dollar. Amazing coin.
